We made a modification to increase the project car's engine deck cooling. The design is similar to Audi factory based race engine deck modification.

This is a test fitting of our products. The 9P-baf44-GT3 caliper adapters allows you to install massive Porsche 996 Turbo / GT2 / GT3 front brakes to late 944 or 968 using 996 Turbo 330 x 34 mm rotor. The cooling plates will fit to all series 944 and 968 cars. Plates use 2.5" cooling hose.

Ball joint rebuild kit installed to a coated Porsche 944 front trailing arm
Finally it's out! The 9products a-arm ball joint rebuild kit for series 944 and 968. Carefully selected special materials, precision CNC-machining and great improvements in the design will make this the finest ball joint rebuild kit seen on the market! Thanks to the unique design - the rebuild kit will also repair the worn out a-arms which usually could not be rebuilt anymore. Installing the kit does not need any machining so the repairing of the a-arm can be done without any special tools.

Spring plate parts
We were unable to find the Porsche spring plates for our project, so decided that the best option was to build our own from scratch. In the above picture you can see our new custom spring plates and solid spring plate bushings. The solid bushings are designed to replace the original rubber factory bushings and give a much more responsive feel to the suspension. Solid bushings are available for order via our web shop!

Rear axle end
Here is a teaser of the engine. All required parts for the engine swap have now arrived! Hydraulic pressure bearing, Audi pressure plate and flywheel. The engine has now been cleaned and painted.

Brake calipers and rotors
We have obtained two sets of brake calipers to have a closer look at. The set on the left is – or should be – 996 front calipers, and the set on the right are the famous “Big Reds” as used on Porsche models such as the 928 GTS and the 993 Turbo. In the background you can see a set of 996 C2 and 928 GT / S4 front brake rotors. We took these smaller GT / S4 rotors on the table for fitting the brake system because there weren't any 993 / GTS rotors in stock at the moment.
As mentioned, the calipers on the left should be the standard 996 front caliper – but these actual calipers are sized closer to the standard factory 996 rear calipers, although the piston size is the same as the factory 996 front calipers at 40mm and 36mm. These calipers also use the 996 specified rear brake pads.
-Later we found out these are the stock Boxster front calipers.
And why do we have both of these front brake systems you ask? Well, we ordered both sets due to the fact that it was not clear to us which one of them would better fit the car in this project. The Big Reds are rather large – massive if truth be told – and heavy. As such, they are maybe too much for the lightened 944 chassis. The “996” based calipers could not be used in the front either, so it would appear that we are faced with either installing them on the rear or resigning them to the storage bin.
-Boxster front rotor 298mm x 24mm.
-996 C2 / C4 front rotor 318mm x 28mm.
-928 GT / S4 front rotor 304mm x 32mm. This is the same rotor as in 944 / 968 M030 option package.
-928 GTS / 993 Turbo front rotor 322 x 32mm.
9Products mounts and bushings for spring plate cover
This is the start of rebuilding the rear axle for the car. Aluminum spring plate covers are painted and they're waiting for new mounts and bushings! There are the spring plate cover mounts and solid bushings in the picture above. These parts ensure very robust rear axle mounting to a chassis. 9products spring plate mounts are still under developement progress and are going to be published later.
The bushings are so strong that they could be used for installing
Dot marked bushing goes front side of the spring plate cover
Proper bushings and parts are not only good upgrade for the rear suspension. The rear axle upper mounts are not necessary for a track car with deleted torsion bars and these could be removed. This will lighten the rear axle a little bit. "Wings" were cut out and the rear axle is ready to be painted..
This is the spot where the upper mount was completely removed

Suspension parts are in color now. We use Porsche 944 cross member and engine mounts. Audi's engine brackets could not be used so we are manufacturing new ones. These brackets will be included to the AAN conversion kit.
In the beginning of 2011 we started to built a racing car from a '86 Porsche 944 which was slightly crashed. The last owner of the car ripped it totally and parts were sold to Finnish enthusiasts. The body was going to recycling and we decided to save it and build it straight from beginning. The car will work for now as a show case of our products. We also use the chassis for designing and developing the new products. This way we ensure the good fitment of all parts we manufacture!

9products front member assembly
We have had enough of the expensive straight-four Alusil engine so the car is built with Audi 2,2l straight-five engine(AAN). Conversion kit will be available on the market after the Audi's short block is fitted to a Porsche's torque tube. Look's it is necessary to manufacture the clutch bell housing completely from a sketch. Porsche 924 Turbo clutch bell housing is a rare item nowadays.
The short block for the project was from our good customer who asked us to build an conversion kit after his 944 Turbo engine failed two times.

So.. The chassis is almost empty. The first thing after cleaning and painting the chassis is to prepare suspension parts. Cast aluminum suspension parts will be painted with color 'Graphite Grey'. I could not wait so we took some teaser pictures of the 9products suspension components installed to an aluminum a-arm.
